KAMAR - Advanced Debugging

If you can not get directory services to work, or have been directed to this article by Career Central support, then please follow the instructions below to get an a debug file.

 

  1. Login to KAMAR as an administrator

  2. Go to Directory Services and navigate to the Career Central API service

  3. You will see a number beside the service (e.g 2)

  4. Navigate to Server Logs (on left hand menu)

  5. Find DirectoryServiceXX, where XX is the number in step 3

  6. Press Refresh button

  7. Navigate to the most recent log (e.g select the date that is the most recent), and copy and paste this to a text file.

  8. Navigate to the most second most recent log (e.g select the date that is the most recent), and copy and paste this to a text file.

  9. Take a screenshot of your Directory Service Settings for Career Central

  10. Email these three files to tim@careercentral.school, clearly stating your school name.

 

If you get a ‘Truncated Log’ message within this process (e.g when you press Refresh, or click into one of the two logs we need), then please contact KAMAR helpdesk for instructions on how to get the log files (it would appear that KAMAR can not display a full copy of the log files it generates sometimes).

 

If you have pressed refresh, and can not see the most recent log files, then contact KAMAR support. Something will be broken in KAMAR server.
