Non standard students missing from Career Central

If your school has students who are:

  • Showing in KAMAR as SF (Separately Funded by another school) and/or
  • Attending your school under an academy (e.g. Academy of Carpentry, Academy of Tourism etc)

then KAMAR will not send these students to Career Central by default, as we are only sent students who originate from your school.

In order to get these students being sent through to Career Central, then you will need to get your IT team to amend the Directory Service that they set up when you first signed up with us.


First, you will need to find out what school this student originated from, and tell your IT team which school that is along with linking these instructions.

IT instructions

  1. Find out what number school the student's original school corresponds to in the KAMAR Directory Service using the list of schools.
  2. Tick that number on the directory service:

  3. Press "Send Full Update" to update us with the new students from that school.


These new students will sync into Career Central overnight, so check in the day after your IT sends the update to see if the students you are looking for have shown up in Career Central. If not, then let us know that you've gone through these steps and are still having issues.
