View and edit staff
URL: /staff/pages/staff/view-all.php
Go to "School Staff" and then "view staff"
If you click on "Edit User" you will have the option to add the staff members name to the message page (so students can message them via CC) or to the Interview page for different year levels (so students can book interviews with them).
In the staff section you can also see and set the access type of each staff member.
TEG = General teacher/group teacher – has access to students in their group/tutor class and can add interview notes.
CSA = Careers advisor – full access to see all students and edit.
TEA = Teachers with full access (eg Deans, senior management) Can see all students and write interview notes but not edit the programme.
MM = Only has access to Media Manager (eg for a librarian)
TRT = This is only for Trades Academies (Polytech)
DIS = Disabled account
Staff will access Career Central using their KAMAR usernames & passwords, Google account or Microsoft accounts depending on what your school has set up.
This shows a list of staff, and their current status within Career Central.
KAMAR Schools:
We automatically feed and update staff, based on their current status within KAMAR. If a staff member is a group/form teacher they will automatically be given the code TEG. This means when they login they will only see the students in their group/form class. You can over ride this code if you wan to make them TEA (see all students) to CSA (see all students and edit the programme).
For deans / senior management, set their account type to TEA to give them access to all students, but not full access to edit the system.
For other Careers Advisors / Staff that you want to grant full access, set their account type to CSA.
All other staff have their accounts disabled by default. They can not access Career Central unless you override their account.
KAMAR Schools with Media Manager:
For people you want to be able to access the media manager, and nothing else, use the MM permission.
Password Policy:
We encourage all KAMAR schools to ensure that SMS passwords are over 8 characters long, and complex so they contain at least 2 special characters, and 2 numbers.
Passwords should be changed at least every term.
