Your dashboard shows your requests waiting to be dealt with, unread parent messages, students who need to be deleted and your credit balance for texting. Under these you will see a ‘Job peek' which shows you the number of students who have expressed interest in each job area. You can click to see the students in each area. You will also see an interview peek showing how many interviews each staff member has recorded and a 'courses peek’ giving a summary of the courses students have saved.

Requests: If a student expresses an interest in Gateway, Trades, Taster Courses or any other request page you have created you will receive it as a request on your dashboard. If you click on your requests tab you will be able to view all requests.

For a new request click on edit.

You can then reply to the student and change the status to complete, in progress or cancelled. You can also message them via text or email to let them know you have received the request and are dealing with it.

If you click to add the student to a programme (eg Gateway) You can then choose the industry, employer and status and when you click ‘save changes’ the student will be added to your programmes area so you can keep track of their interest.

Students to be deleted
Students who have left school (and have therefore not been seen by KAMAR/SMS in a set period of time) will appear on your “Students who need to be deleted” tab. You should delete them so they don’t appear in your searches but once deleted they will go to your “past students” area. In the past student's area, you will retain destination data and personal contact details if they have been added. Students can add this information at any time or via the School Leavers page.

If the student is in Gateway or an Assessment you will get a warning pop-up as deleting them also deletes this data. Make sure your reporting is done or you have printed or saved the assessment somewhere else.

Unread Parent Messages
This is where you will see messages sent from the Parent Portal.
Credit Balance for Texting
Here you will see your credit balance for texting and how many texts you are able to send. You can buy more text credits by contacting Career Central support.

Down the side of your dashboard are a list of other pages to visit as well as "careers setup" where you can customise Career Central to suit your school.
