Under the Group/Search tab you can see groups previously created or create a new group.
You can also see groups which have been created in KAMAR and make them Career Central groups if you want to. Simply click on 'Show KAMAR Groups'.
NOTE: only groups which have been ticked for publication in KAMAR will come through to Career Central (i.e. they must be visible on the report in order to show in Career Central - if they are groups that you do not want showing on the report in KAMAR, then KAMAR will not send us this group and it will not be visible in Career Central).
Creating a new group
If you want to create a new group simply click 'new group' then name and describe the group and begin searching. Once you have created a group you will have the option to either send the group a message, send them a text, invite them to an event, assign them a task, copy their ID numbers to easily make a group in KAMAR or print the list of group members.
At the start of your search, all students will appear on the right-hand side of your screen. As you apply the filters the list of students will be narrowed down to those who fit your criteria.
The blue filter boxes can be opened and closed using the arrows.
Job Industry Search
If you filter by job Industry you will see a list of Industry areas and how many of your students have chosen this industry. For example, if you wanted to do a Construction search, click Construction and you will see all the students who have saved a job in the Construction industry.
If you want to narrow the search further use the search bar at the top to search for a specific job title eg Boat Builder.
To add students to your group simply tick the "check all' box at the top of tick individual students you want in the group. Finally, click "add to group" and the group will be made.
Once the group is made you can scroll down to 'Actions with the group' and either send them a group message or invite them to an event etc...
