Media Manager
Media Manager is an optional extra in the Career Central package.
Media Manager allow you to advertise and promote careers events and information easily. You can have one, or many, screens around the school which will circulate your events, notices, job advertisements etc… you can also choose to have your school notices and even live news feeds broadcast.
To create a notice click on “new entry”
About the Media Manager
Tickle – this runs across the bottom of the screen (needs to be a short message)
Notice – If you are writing a notice, enter the title and then the body of the message you want displayed on the screen. Make sure you save the changes.
Under the Events tab you have the option, when creating an event, to tick the “show on Media Manger” box. If you tick this box your event will be advertised.
New Shared Resource
If you click on "new shared resource" you will be able to upload a file which students will see under their resources tab. If you upload it here all students will see it.
New Image for Slideshow
Also on the Media Manager screen you will see the tab “Upload image for Slideshow". If you upload an image here you will override the "Job of the week" but slides must be 570 x 320 px. Slides appear on the student’s home screen. If no slides are uploaded, then the default slide appears. You can create these, and specify them by Year, or All.
