If a student expresses an interest in Gateway, Trades or Taster Courses (via a custom request page you have created) you will receive it as a request on your dashboard. Students might also make other requests eg for references using their requests tab. If you click on your requests tab you will be able to view all requests.
The staff members whose name is on the page (find this under 'careers setup' then 'page setup') will also receive an email.
Students can also request and endorsement of their skills. If a student requests and endorsement the staff member will receive an email and can see the request under "students" then "view requests".
For a new request click on edit.
You can then reply to the student and change the status to complete, in progress or cancelled. The student will see your reply under their request tab when they login but you You can also message them the student via text or email to let them know you have received the request and are dealing with it. When the student logs in to their requests tab they will see their request history, the status of their request and an answer if you have replied to them. NOTE: It is advisable not to delete requests as this also deletes it from the students profile and then they have no record that the request was made.
Go to your PROGRAMMES tab to save the request.
For example if a student expressed interest in a Taster Course, click on Courses. You can then search for the students name and add them to a course as either interested or enrolled. You can create new courses in the "create new programme" area.
Once the students are added you can make groups of students (eg all those interested in Photoshop) and message them about an upcoming event. You might even use this information to plan events based on interest.
